Black Suck Print
I had the best time at the Black Suck Festival in Bungay 🐺✨
My lovely friend Fran is from Bungay and was so kind to show me her town where she grew up, meet her lovely family and told me the stories of the Black Shuck who in 1577 attacked and terrorised the town of Bungay.
The town put together this amazing festival to celebrate the folklore and history of Bungay with an incredible parade, live music and a great atmosphere.
I created this linocut design of my version of the black shuck to print on some T-shirts for us to wear during the festival, and I was overwhelmed by the amount of people that stopped us to ask where we got them from. So here is the paper print version so you can admire the tale of the Black shuck from your home ❤️
Thank you Fran for sharing this day with us, I can't wait for next year!
Prints vary slightly in size but measure approx 13x16cm. They are handprinted using lincut and linseed oil based inks on white Fabriano cotton paper.
Due to the handprinted nature of the print variations in texture and/or placement may occur, making each print one of a kind!
